Webinar: What hybrid events are and are not?

Hybrid events have been around for a while. It is said that the most effective hybrids are like TV shows. For example, sporting events and TV productions have been doing it for quite some time and have had to take into consideration various types of attendee types from the onsite to offsite. Although they have been around for a while, it was not until the pandemic, that we have truly started to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of virtual and hybrid events.

Join us for the discussion on the subject together with Paul Cook, the founder of the Hybrid Event Center. He is a producer, advisor, writer, speaker, facilitator and educator who has been immersed in the events sector for over 20 years. Paul was also listed as one of the 58 of the most influential people leading the way in virtual events right now.

Paul has written a book together with Martin Shepherdly, a “How-to…” guide for event planners who want to engage their remote delegates called “Remotely Engaging: How to reach new audiences by breaking out of the conference center”. Paul is also the past President of the UK Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and is the Executive Producer of the European Conference for MPI in June 2021. In short, he enjoys working on strategy and content. He works on projects that help develop organisations and the events spaces.
